19th Century Danish Klismos Chairs, Set of 2

A beautiful 19th-century oak Klismos chair, crafted in Denmark in the 1860s. The design, featuring a wide, curved backrest and sabre legs, harkens back to Ancient Greece (5th century BCE).

In near-perfect condition, the chair has been newly upholstered in faux leather but can be customized with various fabrics, sheepskin, or leather by expert upholsterers in Copenhagen. This unique chair is a standout piece for any antique, modern, Boheme, or midcentury interior. Gives a lot of history into your home decor.
