Mid-Century Low Sideboard Cabinet in Oak, Danish style of Henning Kjærnulf, 1960
A beautiful and wellkept furniture in massiv oak in the style of Henning Kjærnulf. Even though that the cabinet is big and heavy, it still feels slim and elegant. The squared dimensions of the item make it carm and warm in appearance. The 5 legs connected with a low profile beam gives a sence of lightness to it and brings the furniture together. A blend between the baroque/brutalist/rough look of the carved legs and the straight lines on the drawers and doors. Big solid counter top, makes it possible to sand back pver and over again, if a more lighter look is wanted in the future.
We rarely see these low and long cabinets. The dimensions of it is perfect for a beautiful living room. The height and depth is perfect in the sence, that it does not take up much space in the room. But still with a lot of storage in the cabinets.
Pair this type of mid-century Danish design furniture up with other classical, art deco, Bauhaus or even art nouveau style.
Also a modern house would fit these types of furnitures. Concrete and glass housing would need a touch of the old items with more soul and atmosphere.
Reach out if any questions. Better prices can be giving, if more items can be shipped together.
See pictures of sign and use. There is some darker spots on the top, and the shelf in the cabinets is slightly going down in the middle. Almost not visible, but we have tried to get it in the photos.
