We present a set of six elegantly crafted 1960s mid-century modern rosewood chairs from the renowned Danish furniture makers "Thorsø Stole og Møbelfabrik". This exceptional set beautifully embodies the essence of nordic design, offering both functionality and a timeless appeal. Crafted from solid rosewood, the chairs display stunning wood grain patterns, parts of which have now naturally sun-bleached through the decades, enhancing the contrast and depth of the material. The resulting surface shows a beautiful zebra-striped effect, testifying to the wood’s age and quality. Every chair displays its own individual wood grain and character, making this collection a rare and unique example of true mid-century Danish craftsmanship. The chairs' legs are very slender, a simple but equally refined detail.
Each piece has been carefully cleaned, restored and oiled, preserving the original patina while renewing the natural sheen of the rosewood. The floral-patterned upholstery remains in excellent condition, with no tears or scratches, adding a charming and tactile contrast to the smooth and glossy tone of the wood. We offer upholstery at 450USD in total. This is without the price of the fabric.
All six chairs come from the same private home, where they were lovingly maintained by a single owner since the 1960s, ensuring consistency and authenticity across the set.
