Vintage Danish Brutalist Cabinet in Oak, 1890s

€4,260.00

A stunning piece, featuring intricate hand-carved patterns on its front panels in the style of Victorian English oak cupboards. It’s a perfect fit for a cozy country-style interior, yet it can also make a striking contrast in a mid-century modern setting. The detailed carvings on the doors are mesmerizing, showcasing an artistry that invites admiration. While the cabinet itself is original from the early 1900s, the shelf was likely added later, around the 1960s or 70s.

Crafted from solid oak, this piece is remarkably sturdy and quite heavy, so professional assistance is recommended for moving. Its grand, almost reverent presence fills any room, enhanced by carvings in the Art Nouveau style that celebrate natural forms, though without any religious symbols.

The locks and hinges are fully functional, the drawers glide smoothly, and the doors open with ease. Being an antique, small scratches are present, which we document carefully in photos. Given its age, the cabinet is in excellent condition.
The approximate measurements of the shelf compartments are as follows:
Depth: 47.5 cm (18.7 inches), Width: 55 cm (21.7 inches), Height: 31.5 cm (12.4 inches)
